Tonight while Anna and I were "playing" dominoes (aka setting them up and knocking them down), I came up with a new theory: "How 3 year olds are like a set of dominoes". Here is an example to illustrate my new theory. It goes something like this: My 3 year old is like a set of dominoes because everything in her world (and my world, too, for that matter) is going great until one tiny domino gets knocked over and takes the rest of the dominoes with it. In other words, we could be enjoying a peaceful lunch, but then suddenly Anna has to go to the bathroom, so she leaves her seat only to find out she can't get her pants down; since she can't get her pants down she gets some potty on her underwear...Yikes! now she needs new underwear; mommy runs upstairs to get a new pair of underwear only to find out she doesn't want Tinkerbell ones she wants Sleeping Beauty ones; back upstairs mommy goes; when mommy returns Anna is completely naked proclaiming she now wants a dress instead of blue jeans; but it's 40 degrees outside so you should wear pants (oh, by the way, we are supposed to be out of the house in 15 minutes); tights, she proclaims, so back upstairs mommy goes in search of tights...and a dress!! wait, I hear John crying; why is John crying and where is he anyway?...panic sets in; mommy runs back downstairs to find naked Anna harassing a now poopy John which has, yep, you guessed it, leaked up his back and out his legs; THAT'S IT! EVERYBODY UP TO THE BATH! What was it we were doing anyways?
